Former Seattle Kraken player Ryan Donato recently returned to Seattle as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks, marking a significant milestone in his career. Donato made history when he scored the first goal in Kraken franchise history on October 12, 2021, against the Vegas Golden Knights. Reflecting on the moment, Donato described it as one of the highlights of his time in Seattle.

After two successful seasons with the Kraken, Donato made the move to the Blackhawks, signing a two-year, $4 million contract in July. His return to Seattle brought back memories of his time with the team, where he scored 30 goals and 28 assists during two regular seasons.

The 27-year-old native of Massachusetts has also represented the United States as an Olympian in 2018. In addition to his impressive accomplishments, Donato has established himself as a versatile player, adapting to different roles on the ice.

During his return to Seattle, Donato had the opportunity to catch up with former teammates and coaches. Despite his new team, he still maintains close ties with the Kraken and was warmly welcomed during his visit.

Donato’s return to Seattle serves as a reminder of his contributions to the team and the impact he made during his time with the Kraken. As he continues his journey with the Blackhawks, he remains grateful for the experiences and memories created in Seattle.
