“Six Arrested After Stabbing Leaves Teenage Boy Blake Newland Dead”

A 17-year-old boy, Blake Newland, tragically died in hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Limavady, County Londonderry. The attack occurred at about 9:35 PM on Friday night. Another man in his 50s was also taken to the hospital but is in stable condition. Currently, six men are under arrest in connection to the incident, as it is being investigated as a murder by the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI).

The Police responded to a report of a man in his 50s being stabbed, and while carrying out their investigations, they located Blake, who was also seriously injured with stab wounds in a nearby house. The town has been cordoned off, and forensic markers have been placed near the scene.

The incident has shaken the community, with residents speaking of their shock and distress. One man described Blake as a “lovely young guy” who was often seen playing football with the younger children in the community. He also shared that young people from the area tried to help him, wrapping him in blankets until emergency services arrived.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) confirmed that three people were taken to the hospital in the incident.
