Supporters Denied Entry to Trump Rally in Manchester, New Hampshire
The Southern New Hampshire University Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, was packed to capacity on Saturday as supporters eagerly awaited the arrival of former President Donald Trump for a rally ahead of the upcoming primary on Tuesday. Unfortunately, ticket holders were denied entry to the event after waiting in below-freezing temperatures for hours. The situation escalated when some of the disappointed supporters attempted to rush into the building just after 6 p.m.
Matt Purcell, one of the ticket holders, expressed his disappointment, stating, “That’s why we came. We came to hear him talk, hear what he’s going to do for the next four years, and make America great again.” The rally also attracted individuals who were not supporters of the former President. Catherine Johnson, a non-supporter, shared her perspective, acknowledging the right of others to have an opinion, despite her differing views.
According to the New Hampshire Secretary of State, more than 400,000 voters are expected to turn out for the primary, with Trump having previously garnered 36% of New Hampshire voters in 2016.
This incident sheds light on the intense political climate in the United States and the passionate engagement of voters on both sides of the political spectrum. These events serve as a reminder of the significant impact of political rallies and the fervent support they generate during election seasons.
