A shooter at a university in Prague, Czech Republic, has been “eliminated” after killing 10 people and injuring two dozen others, according to Czech police and emergency services.
Images circulating on social media showed students barricaded in classrooms and emergency vehicles converging on a square in Prague’s old town. Police announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the shooter was dead, and the school, Charles University, was still in the process of being evacuated. Prague’s emergency response service reported on X that around 25 people were injured, with eleven of them sustaining serious injuries.
