A tragic snowmobile accident in Gorham, New Hampshire claimed the life of a 48-year-old Massachusetts woman on Saturday. Fish and Game officials suspect that the crash was a result of operator inexperience, highlighting the importance of safety precautions while enjoying winter sports.

The incident occurred around noon in a remote trail near Pine Mountain, just five miles from the Randolph Fire Department. Despite efforts from firefighters and rescuers who utilized snowmobiles and a tracked rescue vehicle to reach the victim, she tragically succumbed to her injuries by 1 p.m.

The woman’s riding companion was performing CPR when emergency crews arrived, but their efforts were not enough to save her life. Fish and Game authorities have not disclosed the victim’s identity or her specific location in Massachusetts.

Investigators have emphasized the role of “operator inexperience” in the fatal crash, urging all individuals participating in snowmobiling activities to prioritize safety and seek proper training before venturing out on the trails.
