Kansas man wanted in Kiowa County double homicide killed 1, police say

A 36-year-old man from Kansas, Phillip Lieurance, is wanted for the deaths of two women in Kiowa County, Colorado. According to police, Lieurance allegedly ran over one of the women and then hid both of their bodies. The victims, Linda Estrada, 44, and Amy Ford, 39, were reported missing in Kansas before their remains were found by law enforcement in rural eastern Colorado on September 20.

Lieurance is currently detained in the Lyons County Jail in Kansas on charges unrelated to the Colorado homicides, including vehicular assault and other traffic violations. He confessed to at least one homicide during a September 18 interview with Kansas officers, leading police to the bodies of the two women southwest of Eads next to a cow pond.

The case remains under investigation by the 15th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Colorado, and Lieurance is awaiting a January 19 sentencing hearing for his charges in Kansas.
