“Police Investigating After Metro Transit Bus Runs Over Woman’s Leg in North Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS — The Metro Transit Police are currently investigating an incident in north Minneapolis where a woman’s leg was run over by a Metro C Line bus on Wednesday. The incident occurred at the intersection of Penn Avenue North and Lowry Avenue North, just before 5:45 p.m.
Surveillance footage revealed that the woman was chasing after the moving bus as it was leaving a stop when she slipped and fell. Unfortunately, her left leg was caught under one of the back wheels of the bus, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries.
The bus driver will be placed on standard administrative leave as an investigation into the incident is underway.
