Major League Soccer (MLS) and EA Sports FC Pro have announced details for the upcoming eMLS 2024 season, featuring a new competitive platform and players for 22 clubs representing the global growth of the league. This season will mark the debut of EA SPORTS FC™ 24 as the exclusive platform for all eMLS matches and its inaugural season as part of the new era of esports with FC Pro. The competitive calendar will include two major League Series events in February and March, concluding with the eMLS Cup on March 10 in Austin. In 2024, Inter Miami CF will be represented on the virtual pitch by John Kamel, the third eMLS athlete in Club history, who will be competing under the gamertag K1John.
Inter Miami will be entering its fourth competitive season in the eMLS. In 2021, the club made it to the semifinals of the Last Chance Qualifier for the eMLS Cup, and in 2022 qualified for its first broadcasted event, League Series 2, and made its first eMLS Cup Playoff appearance. In 2023, the Club’s eMLS athlete competed in three LAN events, highlighted by an impressive display in the eMLS League Series 2 broadcast. Fans can show their support by following K1John on his social media accounts as he represents the Club in the upcoming eMLS 2024 season.

The remote qualifiers and group stages of each League Series will be featured on each MLS club’s or player’s Twitch and YouTube channel, with each league broadcast showcasing the top 12 remaining players. The season will feature three main events: eMLS League Series 1, eMLS League Series 2, and eMLS Cup, with the top two players within the eMLS Cup receiving direct bids to the FC Pro World Championship.
The season will feature an all-star commentary crew and has garnered notable partnerships with TikTok, DoorDash, EA SPORTS, and Avant. The esports league continues to see annual increases in viewership and digital engagement. The 2024 season will also witness the hosting of the eMLS Champion and runner-up at the inaugural FC Pro World Championship.
The eMLS 2024 season promises to deliver exciting action and expand fandom and interaction with MLS clubs through EA SPORTS FC, while also featuring historic backgrounds of the ESL and its partners.
