‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ continues to dominate box office for second week

“In its second week of release, *Kung Fu Panda 4* continued to dominate the domestic box office, bringing in $30 million and raising its total earnings to $107.7 million in the United States, according to Comscore. Internationally, the sequel starring Jack Black added $39.6 million to its tally this weekend, reaching a global total of $176.5 million.

Following closely behind, *Dune: Part Two* secured the second spot in the US box office with $29.1 million in its third week, accumulating a total of $205.3 million so far. Overseas, the sequel to the 2021 sci-fi epic based on Frank Herbert’s novel is on the verge of reaching the half-billion mark, earning an additional $51.2 million this weekend for a worldwide total of $494.7 million.

Another new entry, *Arthur the King*, debuted at third place domestically with $7.5 million. The film, based on the true story of extreme athlete Mikael Lindnord and his bond with a dog named Arthur during an adventure race in Ecuador, follows protagonist Michael Light (played by Mark Wahlberg) forming a special connection with the canine over a grueling ten-day, 435-mile journey.

In a heartwarming revelation, Wahlberg expressed his love for his co-star Ukai, confessing, “Oh my god, I tried to bribe the trainer to sell me the dog. I offered her whatever she wanted. But, of course, that bond is not something you can break. I just fell in love with him.”

Wrapping up the top five at the box office, the horror film *Imaginary* earned $5.6 million, bringing its two-week total to $19.1 million domestically ($27.4 million worldwide), while the biopic *Cabrini*, centered around Catholic missionary Francesca Cabrini, secured fifth place with $2.8 million and a two-week total of $13 million.
