iPhone 16 to Embrace Ultra-Thin Bezel Technology for Enhanced Display Experience

Apple is rumored to be revolutionizing the display size of the upcoming iPhone 16 series with the use of innovative ultra-thin bezel Technology, according to a recent report from Korea.

The tech giant is said to be implementing Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology to minimize the bezel at the bottom of the display, allowing for a more immersive viewing experience. This cutting-edge technology achieves this by compactly rolling up the internal copper wiring.

All four models in the iPhone 16 lineup are expected to feature this borderless display technology, set to be released in the second half of this year. Apple’s previous attempts at adopting similar technologies were hindered by heat issues, but recent advancements in heat dissipation technology have revived their efforts.

In the previous iPhone 15 Pro models, Apple used low-injection pressure over-molding to reduce bezel size to 1.5 millimeters, as opposed to around 2.2 millimeters on the iPhone 14 models. This move marked a significant step towards maximizing the display size.

The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models are set to boast larger display sizes compared to their predecessors. Reports suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.27-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will sport a 6.85-inch screen.

With the increase in display size, the dimensions of the iPhone’s body will also see a slight increase. This expansion will provide more internal space for components, potentially leading to larger, longer-lasting batteries in the iPhone 16 Pro models.

Although the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to maintain their current sizes, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus models in 2025 are likely to adopt the larger display sizes introduced in the Pro models.

Exciting developments lie ahead for Apple enthusiasts as the tech giant continues to push boundaries and enhance the user experience with each new iPhone release. Stay tuned for more updates on the highly-anticipated iPhone 16 series.
