Zombie Burger in Des Moines has launched a special menu just in time for Iowa’s first-in-the-nation voting contest. The quirky restaurant recently announced on its Instagram page that customers can enjoy featured shakes and one-day-only burgers to “celebrate the circus” at Zombie Burger.
The special menu included unique creations such as the Mom-Aswamy’s Spaghetti burger on Jan. 12, inspired by Vivek Ramaswamy, featuring a smashed vegetarian meatball patty, fried spaghetti, and marinara croquette with mozzarella. On Jan. 13, diners indulged in the Meatball Ron, a double smashed meatball patty with mozzarella, fried banana peppers, marinara, and a “hidden” garlic bread lift, inspired by DeSantis. The American History 101 burger, featuring a double pimento cheese patty, pulled pork, pulled bacon, fried okra, and Carolina Gold sauce, was the highlight on Jan. 14, with the Carolina Gold sauce being a giveaway for Haley. And on caucus night, customers enjoyed the Day One Dic-Tater, with Flamin’ Hot Cheeto orange kielbasa sausage, Jack cheese, tater rounds, housemade sauerkraut, and Russian dressing, inspired by Trump’s recent statement about being a dictator on “day one” of his next term.
In addition to these unique burger offerings, diners had the option to choose from two special drinks: the Sleepy Joe shake or the Dark Brandon shake, both available with an alcohol option.
The special menu at Zombie Burger not only offered delicious and creative dishes but also provided a fun and memorable dining experience for customers during a significant time in Iowa’s political landscape.
