Hackensack Meridian Health Achieves Sustainable Healthcare Certification
On March 6, 2024, four hospitals within Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most integrated health network, made history by becoming the first in the nation to achieve The Joint Commission’s Sustainable Healthcare Certification (SHC). This prestigious recognition highlights their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability in the healthcare industry.
The four hospitals that have achieved this certification are Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, Hackensack Meridian Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, and Hackensack Meridian Ocean University Medical Center in Brick.
