Cooper University Health Care has announced the appointment of former Federal Judge John Vazquez as the chief legal officer, a newly created position in response to the unprecedented expansion and complexity of issues facing the Camden-based health system.
George E. Norcross III, chairman of the Cooper University Health Care Board of Trustees, expressed his confidence in Vazquez’s legal expertise and ability to help the organization navigate its future challenges.
Vazquez, who most recently served at CSG Law firm, brings a wealth of experience in litigation and white collar defense.
Kevin O’Dowd, co-CEO of Cooper University Health Care, praised Vazquez’s talents and highlighted his past experience as a United States District Judge and Assistant U.S. Attorney.
Vazquez himself expressed his excitement about joining Cooper while also expressing gratitude for his time at CSG Law.
Jeffrey Chiesa, member of the CSG Law Executive Committee, commended Vazquez’s contributions to the firm and predicted that he would add significant value to the Cooper team.
