Patterson High School Musicians to Perform at Stanislaus County Music Festival
Patterson High School students will be showcasing their musical talents at the upcoming Stanislaus County Music Festival, set to take place on Friday, January 26 and Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Modesto Junior College Auditorium. The highly-anticipated festival will feature performances by the high school and junior high school Honor Choir, Honor Orchestra, and Honor Band.
This annual event, sponsored by the Stanislaus County Office of Education and the Stanislaus County Music Educators Association, brings together talented young musicians from various local schools. Notably, students from schools including Beyer, Central Valley, Enochs, Gregori, Turlock, and Waterford will participate in the festival.
The festival will kick off on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. with a remarkable performance by the high school and junior high school Honor Choir. On Saturday, the Honor Orchestra will take the stage at 2:00 p.m., followed by the highly-anticipated performance by the Honor Band at 7:00 p.m. Best of all, admission to the festival is completely free, allowing the community to come together and support these dedicated young musicians.
Each year, the festival brings in outstanding guest conductors to work with the students as they prepare for their performances. This year’s lineup of guest conductors includes Tami Spurgeon for the Junior High Honor Choir, Alex Simon for the High School Honor Choir, Anne Martin for the Junior High Honor Orchestra, Dr. Elisha Wells for the High School Honor Orchestra, Jim Mazzaferro for the Junior High Honor Band, and Dr. Matthew Morse for the High School Honor Band.
