Bytes and Brews, a new restaurant and Entertainment destination, is set to open its doors in Columbus, Georgia. Founded by four local entrepreneurs who met through StartUP Columbus, the establishment aims to provide a unique dining and entertainment experience to the residents of the Fountain City.
According to co-owner Chris Poirier, the concept for Bytes and Brews was born out of a desire to offer a place where people can enjoy great food and entertainment in a quick and efficient manner. The restaurant is designed to cater to the busy schedules of its patrons, allowing them to order and enjoy their meals within 30 minutes, while also providing opportunities for quick games such as pinball.
The co-owners, who have been involved in the Columbus entrepreneurship scene, emphasize the growing opportunities present in the city for aspiring Business owners. With support from organizations like StartUP Columbus, the Turner College of Business, the Chamber of Commerce, Always Uptown, and Columbus 2025, they believe that now is the right time for entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into reality.
Not only does Bytes and Brews offer a unique dining and entertainment experience, but it also pays homage to the rich history of its location. The building, which has been around since the early 1900s, has housed several different businesses over the years, including a pinball arcade. The new establishment aims to maintain the tradition of providing fun and enjoyment within the historic space.
Bytes and Brews also aims to support local artists by showcasing their work within the establishment. Local artist Jori Kent’s mural, which previously adorned the wall of the building, has been restored to its original state, paying tribute to the community’s artistic talent. The co-owners also plan to feature the work of other local artists and students in the future, further integrating the local creative community into the establishment.
In addition to offering a hands-on dining experience, Bytes and Brews will also host live music events, game nights, and provide unique vending machine offerings created by other local entrepreneurs. The restaurant’s grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m., promising an exciting and engaging experience for the Columbus community.
