A new partnership between J&S Youth Theatre and On Stage Vacaville is bringing the magic of musical theater to the youth of Vacaville. This collaboration, launched just in time for J&S’s spring season, offers kids in grades K-12 the opportunity to participate in productions of “101 Dalmations Kids” and “High School Musical Jr.” The performances will take place in June at Journey Downtown, showcasing the talents of young actors in the community.

Founded 22 years ago, J&S Youth Theatre has always been dedicated to boosting self-esteem and confidence in young performers. The program fosters a culture of collaboration and community, emphasizing support and inclusivity over competition.

Serena Kreamer, founder and managing director of J&S Youth Theatre, expressed excitement about the partnership with On Stage Vacaville, noting the shared commitment to the arts. With Jeremy Kreamer, musical director and voice instructor, leading the way, the program aims to inspire and guide young performers through their artistic journey. Jeremy, a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, brings a wealth of experience in musical theater to the table.

In addition to mentoring from industry professionals, young actors participating in J&S Youth Theatre will learn all aspects of theater production, from stage management to costume design. The program is designed to encourage each child to embrace their unique talents and personalities in a supportive environment.

Overall, this partnership between J&S Youth Theatre and On Stage Vacaville represents a new chapter in the rich history of youth theater in Vacaville, promising a brighter, more creative future for all involved.
