Clevetura has introduced a groundbreaking new keyboard, the CLVX 1, on Kickstarter. This wireless keyboard not only functions like a traditional typing device but also features a touchpad area that can read gestures and Touch Sliders for app control. Powered by the patented TouchOnKeys Technology developed by Clevetura, the CLVX 1 is the first product to utilize the second generation of this innovative technology.
The CLVX 1 touch keyboard boasts a full-size design with stylish, low-profile keys and RGB backlights. Users can navigate, swipe, and make gestures directly on the key surface using the built-in touchpad. With the ability to program gestures using three or four fingers for different applications, such as adjusting brush sizes in Photoshop or controlling audio volume, the CLVX 1 offers a customizable and efficient user experience.
The keyboard’s TouchOnKeys chip ensures seamless switching between typing and touchpad functions, with customizable sensitivity settings available through the TouchOnKeys application. Additionally, the TouchOnKeys companion app allows for further customization of the keyboard, with all data processed internally within the keypad for enhanced privacy.
Featuring RGB backlighting with per-key addressable LEDs, the CLVX 1 offers a customizable lighting experience that adapts to ambient lighting conditions. Officially supporting Windows and Linux, with limited support for other platforms, including macOS, the CLVX 1 provides versatile connectivity options with three Bluetooth 5.1 channels and a USB Type-C wired connection.
With a rechargeable battery providing up to 80 hours of use, the CLVX 1 is designed for extended functionality. The keyboard will begin shipping in July and is expected to be available for general sale in September.
As of April 3, the CLVX 1 keyboard can be found on Kickstarter, offering special pricing for early backers. With a retail price of $219, the CLVX 1 combines innovative technology with practical functionality for a premium user experience. The company has already completed pilot production and is gearing up for mass production in June, with availability to the public set for September 2024.
