Acquired from ProFlex Technologies, PipeSense combines over a century of experience in integrity management technologies for onshore and offshore pipelines. Using advanced artificial intelligence (AI) analysis techniques, the company provides tailored solutions to address pipeline operational challenges.
Charps, a US-based pipeline construction and maintenance contractor, has invested in the management, deployment, and R&D of PipeSense, while Sonomatic has invested in hardware development and software support. The acquisition from ProFlex and external investment has led PipeSense to develop new leak detection technologies and an advanced cloud-based software system. The company also announced the appointment of its senior leadership team.
PipeSense Vice President of Operations, Scott Bauer, commented on the investment and the company’s commitment to technological advancements. Sonomatic General Manager Esteban Cesan also expressed confidence in PipeSense’s potential to reimagine pipeline integrity inspection and management.
