A new cannabis cultivation operation is set to open in Chautauqua County, located at 50 Franklin St., Westfield. The facility, developed by Kaleidoscope Farms of Western New York, will specialize in indoor cannabis cultivation and is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business. The company plans to grow and process up to 1,000 plants and flowers concurrently, offering up to 15 different strains from seedling to finished product.
The site plan for the operation was approved by the Westfield Village Board with several conditions, including obtaining a valid license from the NYS Office of Cannabis Management, maintaining odor-absorbing ventilation and exhaust systems, and working with local organizations to reinvest into the community. Additionally, the business must have adequate safety measures and a 24-hour emergency contact person.
The building at 50 Franklin St. was once used by Welch Foods, Inc. and was recently sold to Tusk Construction, Inc. by Live Oak Realty, LLC. The developer, Zach Bobseine, is a Navy veteran with experience in cannabis cultivation management, and is listed as the head grower for the operation.
This announcement marks a significant development in Chautauqua County’s cannabis industry and represents a growing trend towards legalized cannabis cultivation across New York State.
Historically, the legalization of adult-use cannabis in New York State has sparked a surge in investment and development within the cannabis industry. With the opening of the new facility in Westfield, it is clear that the industry is poised for continued growth and expansion in the region.
The company was contacted for further details, but has not yet responded. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new development. Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest breaking news and updates.
