Reba McEntire to sing national anthem at Super Bowl 2024 in Las Vegas
Country music legend Reba McEntire has been announced as the singer of the national anthem before the start of Super Bowl 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 11. McEntire’s expansive career includes music, television, film, theater, retail and hospitality, and she has received more than 50 awards throughout her career, earning honors from the ACM Awards, American Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards, CMA Awards, Grammys and GMA Dove Awards. Her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl has garnered much anticipation and excitement from her fans and the NFL audience.
The NFL has also revealed that the pregame Entertainment for the Super Bowl game will be broadcast on CBS.
In addition to McEntire’s national anthem performance, the halftime show will feature Usher, Post Malone, and Andra Day. Post Malone, known for his Grammy-nominated hits and global popularity, will sing “America the Beautiful” at the Super Bowl. Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Andra Day will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” a rendition of the Black national anthem. The national anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be produced and arranged by Emmy-winning musical director/producer Adam Blackstone.
The Super Bowl 2024 will also feature American Sign Language (ASL) performances as part of the pregame entertainment and the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show, showcasing the inclusivity of the event.
It was previously announced that Usher will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show, produced by DPS, with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers and Hamish Hamilton and Shawn Carter serving as directors.
