According to Michael Smith of Charlotte Center City Partners, the city saw its 10 biggest event nights in Uptown last year, and is expected to break records again in 2024.
Southern Entertainment, which has been organizing events in Charlotte since the 1990s, hopes to solidify the city’s place among music greats like Nashville and New York City. The city’s strategic geographic position and excellent infrastructure make it a prime destination for major entertainers and events.
Last year, the Queen City hosted performances by Beyoncé, Luke Combs, and Drake. This year, Charlotte will host its first three-day music festival, Lovin’ Life Music Fest, featuring acts like Post Malone and Stevie Nicks. According to Mike Stephens of Southern Entertainment, the festival promises three days of world-class music.
